Right then I'm out shoppin tomorrow or friday for a 450D and obviously am after the best price I can.

the best I've found so far is actually jessops at 393.99 for the body and kit lense 18-55 IS as seen here but am hoping I can also use this voucher code XMAS20 which gives another 20 pounds off when spending 300-599.99.

So the total is 379.99.

Can anyone beat that?

I know I'm going to need memory cards filters and a bag but for the time being just getting the camera will do.

You won't get it any cheaper than that in this country from a proper Canon dealer,even 7dayshop in Jersey which are grey imports are selling them for £409 with cashback.

Picked one up today from jessops 443.99 got to claim my 50 back from canon plus got a 20 quid gift card thrown in as the XMS20 code is not avalible on the Digital SLR's Sad

So effectivly have managed to get it for 373.99 for the basic kit, not to bad me thinks

Sounds a fair price there chap the cash back cheques come through at a reasonable time too well within what they say.

Had mine since Sept 6th and have been one very happy chap with it.

Mods to date:

Philips extreme power bulbs, OEM Headlamp protectors, Stainless OEM sill plates,OEM rear parking sensors, Armrest and Slide top cup holder with bottle opener, SE spec Sunglasses holder, Mudflaps, UK-MKV's sticker, Bluetooth to existing phone prep (Bury), OEM Ipod Integration, Full front and rear speaker upgrade and 16'' OEM Atlanta Wheels.

Planned Mods:

GT/GT SPORT leather seats and door cards, Stainless Dash Trim, GT 3 spoke leather steering wheel and airbag, ECU Remap, OEM front fogs, Centre dash vent (instead of the tray), Cruise control, MK6 light switch, MK6 Window Switches and Colour code of side and front bumper strips.

The beeping SHOULD mean it's got focus lock,especially if one of the focus points in the viewfinder flashes red at the same time.

Or it could actually be your microwave oven telling you your pizza's ready Chuckle .
