    Hi folks,

Sitting in the golf after driving back home from work I noticed a strange glugging noise coming from the back end. So I got out and crouched down by the rear drivers side wheel to listen and it seemed to be coming from the fuel tank, thats the only thing I can think of anyway!

I had filled the tank (not totally full) 10 miles previously so maybe that had something to do with it? Confused

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Off to glug some beer! Beer bed! Sleep

hmm came to intrude as i have this noise but no aircon, noticed it a week or two ago thought it was just fuel in the tank bubbling away from the pipes or something more technical, left it down to if its not broke dont fix it, would be good to know why it sounds like my cars drowning.

Nothing to worry about, its probably the fuel breather system, its fully enclosed and filters excess pressure through a valve and a carbon canister, what you can hear is it working as the fuel cools down and the tank pressure drops.
